Bihar’s daughter, MLA and shooter Shreyasi Singh could not make a splash in the Paris Olympics this time. Shreyasi Singh finished 22nd with 113 points in the fifth round of qualifying. Due to this, she could not make it to the final of the shotgun trap event and she was out of the competition with these 113 points. Due to which she failed to shine in the Paris Olympics 2024 this time. It is worth noting that Shreyasi Singh qualified on Tuesday. Where she was ranked 23rd after lagging behind in the first round.
Won gold, silver and bronze medals at international level
Shooter Shreyasi Singh scored 24 out of 25 in her third round and made a strong comeback by scoring 22 in the first two rounds, which put her in 22nd place. With this, the first day’s qualifying ended. In the first three rounds of the first day and two rounds of the second day, she got a total of 113 points. Due to which she failed to make it to the final 20. However, if we talk about Shreyasi Singh’s success before this, she has increased the prestige of women players in the field of shooting. Shreyasi has won gold, silver, bronze medals at national and international level in the field of shooting.
Won gold medal in junior single trap
In 2008, she won the gold medal in Junior Single Trap in National Shooting Championship and in 2009 she won the gold medal in International Junior Single Trap held in Finland. In 2010, she won the silver medal in the competition held in Commonwealth. For the last eight years, Shreyasi has been winning the gold medal in National Championship. If we talk about foreign land, then she made not only Jamui but the entire country proud on foreign land by winning the silver medal in Shooting Women’s Double Trap event of 20th Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow in 2014. In November 2016, she made Bihar proud by winning the gold medal in Double Trap Shotgun competition of 60th National Shooting Competition held in Jaipur.
